Do you have and Android phone? Looking for the Market icon to download an application (app)?
Well Google has quietly upgraded it to “Play Store”. Real name is “Google Play Store.”
It is a bit irritating when they don’t tell you! 🙁

In the meantime all is good in the Fortress of Solitude.

Travelled to Albury where I joined up with John, Matthew and Carl. Off to Jervis Bay NSW. About 6 hours travel from Albury. Arrived and found the agent for the house. Picked up the keys and moved into the digs. Comfortable enough.
Up next morning at 4:40am breakfast then off and back around 6:00pm. This was the procedure for each day.
The company was excellent but the fishing was disappointing. Couldn’t catch anything of size. By example; kingfish need to be 65cm to keep and all could get was around 50cm. Great sport mind you but no keepers.
The weather was against us. Wrong tides and wind. Then the rain. Good grief, did it come down. So much so the areas around us were flooding. So after 4 days it was too dangerous so we packed up (in the heavy rain) and left.
We caught lots of size spikey rockies and leather jackets some Flathead. However I did catch a 40cm morwong. Very pleased about that I am!
It was a great experience but a disappointing fishing trip. I would go again.

Have been playing around with Ubuntu server. So decided to setup a web server in the workshop.
Loaded Ubuntu server, XAMPP, WebMin, and WordPress. Redirected port 80 on the router. Now it goes. I intend to make a HowTo pdf in time. but for now have a look.

Back form volunteering at the Kona Odyssey. Run by the Rapid Ascent group. Only as an helper and gofer.
This is a mountain/bush ride over 50 or 100 km through the Otway Ranges. Why would they do it? Because of the challenge!
I started at 5:00am in Apollo Bay. That meant leaving at 4:00 am, and up at 300 am. But this is not about me. It is about the experience and yes the fun of helping.
Be aware of the “Cardio Trainer” app that comes preloaded on the Motorola defy+. If you start it (to see what it does) you cannot interrupt, delete, or uninstall it.
This program constantly tells you that you have not lost any calories to date. You can stop the app, through the settings, but as soon as there is a restart; there it is. It will want to update all the time and will nag you to do so.
I have contacted the app provider and although there was a “nice” reply, the result is – you are stuck with it.
I am not obese, bulimic or anorexic. However I would have concerns if this app was running on a phone whose owner had personal image issues.
This is not the end of this……… With Motorola or Telstra 🙁
