Selling our House

Graham | 30/10/2012 | COMMENTS:No Comments »

As some of you may know, we have our house on the market to downsize.  Well we finally have an offer that we will accept. Have put in an offer on one we have been looking at.  I must say that the whole offer and negotiating meme is a pain.

It seems that we sell ours to buy the next, they want to upsize and therefore make an offer to a third party.  It is a line of dominoes with only one needing to fail for the lot to fail.

I will keep you posted on the results.  If it all happens, wish it is before Christmas.

Moving from 3/4 acres to a 1/4 acre block.  Dam less mowing there.

AGW not happening?

Graham | 18/10/2012 | COMMENTS:No Comments »

Take this for what it is worth.

“Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals U.K.Met Office. Report quietly released…”

Has it slowed, paused, very-very slow or not happening.  Another 5 years will tell.

The skeptics are saying “see I told you”, the true believers will never let go, and the Greens have hung their hat on this.

Camper moves

It is Sunday and here we are in Mildura.  Beautiful and sunny.  But, not may I say, getting here.  Rain, sleet and an outside temperature of 8 degrees.

Been around our favourite places. Today just chilling out.

Have had someone looking through the house over the weekend.  Second time for these people.  We will see.

Added note.  Used 12v socket provided in the trailer. Plugged in the 12 volt to USB mini plug (12v to 5V).  Well it took about 2 seconds until an acrid smell and lots of smoke.  Melted the device.
I guessed that the 12v polarity was wrong.  Back at home. Yep; I was wright. Drilled out the rivets and removed the socket, swapped the wiring.  Now all is well, apart from the loss of a Tom-Tom 12v converter.

Mulching

Graham | 07/10/2012 | COMMENTS:No Comments »

Here it is Sunday.

Had our 8 meters of mulch delivered on Friday.  Kaye and I carted, tramped and spread the lot.  Need to do this each 2 ~ 3 years.  Dam good job by us.  Thanks for the big effort Kaye.
What this means is that the garden is virtually maintenance free.  So – off on holidays.

Here is pile that we started with.

Camper first trip

Graham | 05/10/2012 | COMMENTS:No Comments »

We went to Hamilton to trial run our new hard floor camper.  Everything very rudimentary, but it works.

Here is a picture of our first “camp out”.

Is that Kaye waving out the door?

Have just tried posting to the blog via an off line writer.  The one I am using is M.S. Writer from the 2012 essentials suite.  Free in Vista and 7

So far it is great.  Can post text, pictures, video plus all the formatting.  Not to forget categories.

We will see how it goes. Fingers crossed
